Adam Michel Me/We is the sort of comfortably worn that’s typically reserved for your favorite blue jeans, snug and relaxed. You want it in your ears all the time. The arrangements are wonderfully lush in their sparsity, tight blues cores, breathy vocals with outstanding texture. So, so good.

I hate picking a favorite track, so also listen to To The River, Into The Wild and Good Times. And all the others. Just buy this album already, you can thank me later. Favorite track: Give Me Time.

Abby Holmes Roo & The Howl delivers a grace and poise that I haven't heard done quite so well since I first discovered Noah Gundersen. It fits decently into the folk/alt-folk/Americana category, but it's really the kind of music that transcends personal tastes, and can likely be enjoyed by anybody, regardless of where their preferences lie. Favorite track: Love Lost.

about

Roo & The Howl Colorado

The word "roo" derives itself from the old english word for quiet, which when combined with "howl" provides a startlingly accurate description of Bekah Wagner, the songstress behind Roo & The Howl. Presently coming off a strong showing at this year's SXSW & preparing for her debut album release (5/20), Roo's music brings together sorrow & beauty in the best traditions of Americana ... more
